We are excited to announce three new Certus Associate Partners!
In addition to their responsibilities and contributions in the daily business, Certus Associate Partners play an active role in business development, focusing on building relationships that foster client trust, and support the continued growth of Certus. With a solid foundation of experience, they contribute to strategy implementation and enhancement of standards and processes. They are actively involved in decision-making and work closely with senior leadership to further the strategy and vision of Certus.

Derek Cornell
Senior Associate / Senior Electrical Designer
In addition to his expertise in electrical system design and project management, Derek has played a primary role in development of modeling and production standards for Certus. He is currently leading initiatives to evaluate and implement advancing technology to enhance our processes and quality assurance. While continuing to help Certus focus on standardization, automation, and efficiency, Derek demonstrates a unique ability to integrate the human factor, recognizing that people are at the heart of our business.
Derek has said that it just makes sense for relationships to be integral to both his work and personal life, as a key to a full life. His progressive thinking, together with a true passion for people, will help him to thrive in his role as an Associate Partner.
Caleb Marvin, P.E.
Senior Associate / Senior Mechanical Engineer
With ten years in the industry, Caleb brings extensive experience in healthcare mechanical and plumbing design. He is respected by staff, clients, and partners for his quality work and team-oriented approach. As manager of our mechanical and plumbing team, Caleb enjoys tackling complex technical challenges and embraces opportunities to learn and teach every day.
Caleb helps our team focus on quality in every product we deliver. He also believes that connection with others strengthens our business and propels us forward. He values being part of a humble, supportive team that pulls together when it counts, and that collaborative spirit has helped fuel our growth and success during his 5½ years with Certus. We are excited about the future and confident that, in his expanded role, Caleb will help us keep getting even better.
Hollie Cantrell
Senior Associate / Office Manager
Having known Hollie for a long time, when the founding partners started Certus, we knew we needed “someone like Hollie”. We are so blessed that it turned out to be Hollie herself, joining Certus in 2019 as our first employee.
In addition to managing our support staff, Hollie has played a pivotal role in scaling, and even completely revamping, key platforms and processes such as accounting and human resources as Certus has grown. Her progressive and entrepreneurial approach will be instrumental to our continued success and support of our clients, partners, and team moving forward. Equally important, everything she does is done with an amazing attitude, love for people and life, and a contagious smile. Hollie truly embodies the Certus core values and helps foster our culture inside and outside of the office. If you don’t know Hollie, reach out and say ‘hi’. You will be glad you did.
